I am a native to Onslow County and a product of the Onslow County school system.  I attended Blue Creek Elementary, Southwest Middle, and Southwest High.

After high school I traveled a LONG way south to Wilmington where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from UNCW. :)

After teaching for five years, I decided to return to school and work towards my Master's degree in School Counseling.  I am currently in my 7th year as a School Counselor at Dixon Elementary.

In 2007 I married my high school sweetheart, Michael.  We have two children-Sophie, who is 5 and Pate, who is 3.  We enjoy walking on the beach and watching ECU football.  Go Pirates!
