Marching Band Camp will be starting next week for all students (those enrolled in the class and our colorguard members). Please make sure you are staying active and healthy while you are preparing for this camp. We will be outside, marching, doin physical conditioning including running and warm up exercises.
Every day please make sure that you prepare by eating a healthy breakfast, drinking water, and bringing the required items. Outside attire must be school appropriate- a light t shirt and gym shorts with tennis shoes are ideal. A hat is also recommended. On days where there is rain in the forecast a rain jacket will also help. The band has ponchos for those students that do not have a jacket.
Lunch will be on your own. Students may bring lunch or have their parents take them off campus for lunch. Everyday we will break from 12-1:30pm. Please use this time to rest, to relax, and to charge your batteries! Lunch should also be healthy- maintaining your health is crucial during band camp as you can't participate and learn everything you need if you aren't feeling your best. Take care of yourself!
Freshmen Orientation- Students that are involved in Freshmen Orientation on Aug 6 & 7 will attend the morning session from 8am-11:45am. These students will then go to lunch and return for the afternoon session of band camp at 1:30pm.
Band Camp is crucial for us to prepare prior to our performances at football games. Please be looking over music and learning everything you can before you come to camp!
Marching Band Camp Schedule-
Aug 5- First Year Marchers- 8am-12pm, Drumline and Colorguard- 8am-5pm
Aug 6-8- All students- 8am-5pm
Aug 12-15- All students 8am-5pm
