Why have a CHEW drive?

  • There are many children in Onslow County that go home and to an empty refridgerator and cabinets.  To ensure those children have food to eat over the weekend Onslow County has partnered with the United Way to create the Children Eating Healthy on Weekends (CHEW) program.  The CHEW program provides children who suffer from food insecurity with child friendly food for the weekends.

When is the CHEW drive?

  • The CHEW drive is held in February.
