What is the Speech Contest?
The school Speech Contest is a contest in which contestants write a speech on a designated topic and deliver their speech to a audience. This competition is held every year at JCMS and is open to all students. The first place winner at the school level will advance to the County competition. To find out more about the Speeck Contest ask a JCMS Language Arts teacher.
How can I participate?
Students are selected for the Speech Contest based on their ability to write and deliver a speech on a specified topic. The first level of competion is held at the classroom-level. Those students who are selected from their class will then move on and participate in a school-level speech contest against students from all grades within their school. The students who win at the school-level will then represent Jacksonville Commons Middle at the county-level Speech Contest.
