OCS Teacher and Employee Appreciation Week 2018
Teacher and Employee Appreciation Week for the Onslow County School System will be observed May 7-11, 2018, with National Teacher Appreciation Day being observed on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Our theme this year is OCS Cares!
The Community Affairs Department will be distributing Thank You posters (25) and 8x10 individual thank you sheets (50). We will also have a toolkit with the files included for you to print additional posters and thank you sheets located in the Community Affairs section of the OCS website.
This year, we will feature and thank many of our employees on the front page of our OCS website in the picture rotator. On Tuesday, May 8th, we will devote this rotator specifically to thanking teachers in our school system.
During the week, we would like to ask all schools to change their front signs to reflect Appreciation Week with a note of thanks. If you have a digital sign, and can change it easily, we would like for you to schedule the following:
- Monday – Thank You to our Custodians!
- Tuesday – Thank You to our Great OCS Teachers!
- Wednesday – Thank You to our Cafeteria Staff!
- Thursday – Thank You to our Maintenance, Support & Administrative Staff!
- Friday – Thank You to our Bus Drivers!
If you do not have a digital sign, or have a digital sign which cannot be changed easily, please post the following message:
To our Teachers and OCS Employees,
We hope you all will take pictures of those you appreciate and post them on your school social media feeds, and tag them with the hashtag #OCS_Cares2018. The Community Affairs department will pick one post from the #OCS_Cares2018 feeds as the best of the best for a special recognition!
Also, please tag Onslow County Schools in any of your posts – Twitter: @onslowschools; Facebook: @OCSNC; Instagram @onslowcountyschools.
We appreciate all that each of are doing in our schools and hope this week of celebrating those who make our schools some of the best in the state will be highlighted and honored!
