Mrs. Saenz was born in Jacksonville, and like most students she teaches, was the child of a Marine family. She has lived all over the US, including Arizona, Virginia, and Alabama. She graduated from Troy University in Troy, Alabama in the spring of 2018. She received her Bachelors Degree in Music Education and specialized in music technology.

She participated in the Sound of the South Marching Band as an Assistant Drum Major and Section Leader, and in the University's top wind ensembles, and the Football and Basketball pep bands as a saxophonist.

Her experiences in music at Troy also included singing in the Concert Chorale, arranging music for ensembles on the campus, participating in the Kappa Kappa Psi Step Team, and sound design. She also plays ukulele, which she will be teaching througouht the year.

After receiving her degree, then-Ms. Lawniczak married Victor Saenz, the Dixon High School Director of Bands. They spend most of their time together watching movies and playing with their pet cat and rabbit, Pepper and Modest.

Her favorite pastimes include reading, watching comedy specials and football, and (of course) listening to and making music! Students in her class will be exposed to a variety of music from around the world and throughout all time up to the present!
