Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Andre Colquhoun

My name is Andre' Colquhoun and I am from the beautiful island of Jamaica. I have been an educator for the past nine (9) years. Throughout my career, I have taught at the grades 2,3,4 and 5 level and have obtained successful results at the national level. I obtained a BSc in Primary Education from the Sam Sharpe Teacher's College in Jamaica.

I am involved in our school and have served on the following committees: School Leadership team (5 Grade Data Team Leader) , AVID committee, Science Olympia coach and STRIDE (for 3rd, 4th and 5th boys this Spring 2020 season).

Teaching is a dynamic process for me and it never gets old! There is always something new to learn every day, no matter how many years we've been around! As an educator, I enjoy using and integrating technology in the classroom to enhance and promote students’ learning.

Teaching is my calling; it is not just a job. It's what I do! As a teacher, I am always learning and growing. I am so excited to be working with the students and families at Morton Elementary! I believe that every child has the ability to learn and be successful.  It is my continued goal to help children achieve academic and social growth while developing a love for learning.
