I began my teaching career in the 2012-2013 school year, teaching English II and IV at West Craven High School.  After that, I moved down to the middle school level and remained in the Craven County school district for a total of six years.  This is my eleventh year teaching, but my fifth in Onslow County Schools.  I taught for the Onslow K-12 Virtual School team during their inaugural year of 2020-2021, after teaching two years at Southwest Middle, and returned to Colts Country last year before deciding to return to the high school level.

I am a graduate of Onslow County Schools (White Oak High School class of 2008), and I'm excited about having returned home as I began my own family.  I married the love of my life, Jonathan (also a WOHS alumnus), on Memorial Day of 2019, and shortly after we welcomed into the world our precious baby girl, Aniyah.  Last year, our family grew by another set of tiny feet as we welcomed our youngest daughter, Aria.

I was a participant in the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program at North Carolina Central University in Durham, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Education (with a minor in Writing) and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012.
