I began welding in my father's welding shop when I was 14 and after high school I got my welding certification. I taught at Swansboro High School as the Welding Instructor for 13 years and I have used my 43 years of experience to teach students the trade of welding and to prepare them for the 21st Century. I am an AWS unlimited certified welder with 15 years experience teaching in the Coastal Carolina Community College welding program. Many of our students have gone on to be very successful welders through our program.
I have been married for 32 years with two girls, my oldest is married and teaches in Rockwell N.C. and my youngest has graduated and is working in the family business.
I am a native of Onslow County and graduated from White Oak High School in 1980 and I look forward to teaching the area students at the new Eastern North Carolina Regional Skills Center.
