Hey! My name is Heather Bennett-Hart, formly Ms. Swirski and this will be my first official year at Northwoods Elementary. I came in mid year last year and am so excited to join the Northwoods family for another year! This will also be my first official year of teaching. I graduated from UNC Wilmington in December 2018 with my masters in Elementary Education. I received my bachelor's degree from The State University of New York at New Paltz in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. I moved to North Carolina about two years ago from New York and just recently moved to Jacksonville this past January and have loved every moment of it!

Outside of the classroom, you can find me either at the beach, curled up with a good book, or hanging at home with my husband (when the Navy/Marines haven't taken him away!) with our little tabby cat named Oliver and our new minature aussie shepard, Orion! I love to cook, have classroom dance parties, and enjoy giving out hugs!

I've had a blast getting to know all of my students and building our classroom realationships through learning our classroom routines and procedures. It was also awesome getting to meet all of our awesome parents at either orientation or open house. We couldn't have done a lot of what we're doing without the support of our families! In the upcoming months, you will expect to see your child get fulling into the swing of fourth grade. Expect to see them excited about projects, new books, and the fun science activities we have planned! But as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me through email, dojo, or Remind!
