Mr. Kenneth R. Creech

I started my career in Fire/ Emergency Services in 1972 with the City of Greenville, North Carolina, and was assigned to Rescue. In 1974, I listed into the United States Air Force as a Structural- Crash Firefighter. While I was on active duty, I served as Instructor at the USAF School for firefighting,and was  assigned to Air Force Special Forces. In 1978, I was discharged from active duty, and I was employed by Department of Defense as a Fire/Emergency Services, and I was station at Fort Campbell Ky, and in 1979 I transfer to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In 2003, I retired from Camp Lejeune and was employed by the City of Wilmington, North Carolina as a Deputy Fire Marshal. In 2015, I retired from City of Wilmington and in 2018, I was empolyed by Onslow County Schools as the Fire/Public Safety Teacher. I have been in Fire/Emergency Services for over 42 years and been a Level III Fire Service Instructor for over 40 years. I am a Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Fire Officer II, and  Evidence Collection Technical.

At Southwest High School, I teach two subject's. One of the subjects that I teach is the certification firefighting program in accordance with NC Office of State Fire Marshal. In this class the students learn how to operator the tools and equipment that is used by fire service and the course is in three parts. The second class I teach is Public Safety, and in this course the students learn about careers in Public and Private sector and the requirements for employment.
