I moved to NC in 1981, graduating from West Carteret High School in 1982. I went to UNCW and graduated with my BA in Biology and my Science teaching certificate in 1987. Tanya and I married in 1991 and have three children: Jake, Holly, and Riley. Originally, I taught Biology at Jacksonville High School from 1988-2001. I earned my Masters from ECU in 1992 (MaED in Science Education). From 2001-2018, I taught Biology at Croatan High School.
In addition to teaching, I coached the Jacksonville Golf team for thirteen years and the Croatan Golf team for fifteen years. I received the Conference Coach of the Year seven times with Jacksonville and five times with Croatan. This is my fourth year at the Early College. I love being a part of the OWL team!
