Mrs. Alie Knox
I was born in Pennsylvania but have spent most of my life living in North Carolina. My dad was in the Marine Corps, so we lived in a few other places while I was growing up, mainly Virginia and Hawaii. I graduated from Southwest High School and decided to go to college in Tennessee. I obtained my BA from Freed-Hardeman University in History and Secondary Education.
After I graduated, I moved back to North Carolina and began my teaching career at Swansboro Middle School, where I taught Eighth Grade Social Studies and AVID for eighteen years. In 2015, I decided to get my Master’s degree in School Administration from East Carolina University.
The following year, I moved to Scotland and married my husband, John. I absolutely loved living in the UK, with one big exception: I was so far away from my family. We decided to move back to North Carolina as the weather in the UK is a bit dreary, and I missed my home. I was so excited to begin working at the Early College in 2019. It is a fantastic school with an amazing faculty and even more amazing students.
