Hello! My name is Kelsey Hemmelgarn and I am the music teacher at Meadow View Elementary! I am from Louisville Kentucky, and received my Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Louisville. I moved to Onslow County in 2021 with my two dogs!

This is my second year teaching music at Meadow View, and I am SO excited to see everyone! I taught middle school chorus at Ramsey Middle School in Louisville, Kentucky before I came to Meadow View. 

This year, we are going to be dancing, exploring, and making beautiful music with boomwhackers, hand bells, xylophones and glockenspiels, percussion instruments, recorders (4th grade), ukuleles (5th grade), and our voices! My goal is for every student to have fun, and to love learning more about music and how it relates to the world around us. 

I am committed to the success and well-being of all of the students and parents/guardians at Meadow View Elementary. Our music classroom will encourage students to be safe, kind, polite, cooperative, and responsible!
