Mrs. Fernandez

I am so excited to be teaching at the Onslow Virtual School.  There are so many exciting things that we are going to do and learn this year!

I am originally from New Jersey.  I lived in Arizona for about 15 years and moved to Newport, North Carolina in 2014.  I am married to my wonderful husband, Bill for 21 years.  We have two kids: Billy-15 and Lily-13.  We love to go to the beach, watching movies, and exploring outside.  I love painting and going to garage sales!  I went to West Chester University in PA with a Early Childhood degree.  I have my master's in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am beginning my 19th year of teaching.

I believe that all students can learn.  We work hard and I have high expectations for all my students BUT we also have fun while we are learning.  I believe that the relationship between families and myself is a team.   I have a high amount of contact with my parents so everyone is on the same page.  I can't wait to get started!
