Eg HCl - hydrochloric acid
Organic acid ends with COOH
Eg. C2H4COOH ethanoic acid
a base is a chemical species that donates electrons, accepts protons, or releases hydroxide (OH-) ions in aqueous solution
NaOH- sodium hydroxide
You can also use their characteristics to determine if it is a base.
