I have an undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Math and Science from Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) I also have a Master's in School Administration/Curriculum and Instruction from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!). I have been with Onslow County Schools for twenty-nine years. My husband is a retired high school history teacher. My daughters both graduated from Onslow County Schools. One graduated from Campbell University and teaches third grade while the other graduated from UNC-G and is a nurse in the Cone Health System. I believe there are many ways a child can be gifted. For many reasons, we only test and identify in a few select areas, including Reading and Mathematics.
