• Good morning families,

Today is our first official day of remote learning. The 4th Grade Team will be sending out assignments that will span several days at a time. These assignments will be sent out on Monday's and Wednesday's.  Please see the table below for a list of this weeks assignments.

During this unprecedented time, please remember that the health and well-being of your child is our number one priority. If your child is not well, they need to focus on resting and getting better. In addition to these assignments, we encourage you to provide some at-home learning experiences that will benefit the whole child (ex: folding laundry, helping with dishes, working with older/younger siblings.)

Here is a copy of the assignments that were sent to 4th grade students in my class. Please make sure that your child is checking their school email and Microsoft Teams daily for updates/assignments. Please see the CFIE website for additional activities and lessons from CFIE Enrichment Teachers. I am available during normal work hours to help you or your child with anything you may have questions on. In addition, I will be posting on our chat wall on TEAMS, please reiterate to your child that this is not a place to have conversations that do not have anything to do with the assignments.

  • Hello families,

I hope you are all doing well. Here at CFIE our team is busy preparing assignments and activities for your 4th grader to keep their learning moving forward. Online instruction is set to begin on Wednesday, March 18th. We are not ready to send out all the assignments just yet. Please be on the lookout for an email that will be sent to you and your student that will include assignments for the rest of the week. This list of assignments will also be posted here on our class website.

Students already know what sites they can access to help practice math and reading skills. These sites can be used for ADDITIONAL practice but will not be required (Prodigy, Cool Math Games, Reading Eggspress, GetEpic, etc...) This is just a quick start of ideas; we will be in touch soon with more assignments.

CFIE will be open today (March 16) from 10–3 only if you need the following items:
    • Medicines that are here with the nurse.
    • Clothing or other personal items.
    • The library will be available to check out books if needed. If you are wanting to check out books, please come to the back door of the library if interested.

Again, please be on the lookout for an assignment email coming soon. These assignments will be sent to parents and students. The expectation will be that students should be checking their email and Microsoft Teams daily beginning Wednesday, March 18th.

    Please stay safe,

    Nataly Romero
