My name is Stephanie Armstrong. I live in Hubert, NC with my daughters Caroline and Abygaiel Mohammed. I graduated from NC State with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and worked as Biodefense Specialist for Homeland Security for 4 years. I became a stay at home mom for five years after the birth of my second child. When both of my girls started school, I became a substitute and fell in love with the art of teaching. That year, I was hired at Morton Elementary where I was an EC teacher and worked as an early intervention teacher in pre-school. In 2015, I left public education to work as a middle and high school science teacher at a private school. I coached a state qualifying Science Olympiad team and started a STEM program. I decided to return to public education and to my calling as an EC teacher last year, where I was a 2nd-3^rd grade resource teacher at QCE in Swansboro, NC. I am excited to join the Swansboro Elementary team this year!! GO PIRATES!!
