Welcome to Social Studies at Swansboro Middle! I am part of the 8th Grade Team and we are so glad to have you!

I originally studied political science and international affairs but began teaching through a volunteer organization partnered with UNCW. I completed my degree and started teaching once I graduated. I have since continued my education at ECU with this being my fourth year at Swansboro Middle. 

My classroom goal is to ignite enough historical interest in students that they care enough to argue about the world around them, learn how to find the data to support those arguments, and impact their community in a positive way.
