     Swansboro High School Elective

At the secondary level, AVID students are enrolled in the AVID elective and receive support to be successful in their school's most rigorous classes, such as honors courses and Advanced Placement.  In the AVID elective, students learn organizational skills, work on critical thinking and how to ask probing questions, get academic assitance from peers and AVID tutors, and participate in enrichment and motivational activites.
