Hello!

My name is Ms. Huls. I am a recent graduate from East Carolina University, with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Concentration in Reading.Go pirates! This will be my first year teaching, and I could not think of a better school to start my career as an educator than Summersill Elementary.  I am a military brat but claim Jacksonville, NC as home sweet home! I attended Summersill Elementary, New Bridge Middle School and Northside Highschool while growing up in Jacksonville. 

Here are some FUN facts about me: 

• I have wanted to be a teacher since the age of five
• I love the beach
• Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things to do 
• I love to travel and explore new places 
• My answer is always “YES” to a sweet coffee or Chick Fil A 

My greatest hope for this year is every student would have fun learning in a positive community, their hearts would grow and each student would leave striving to be a difference maker in the world.
