Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Michael Lechette
Welcome to the Health Science Classes at White Oak High School. I am happy to be your instructor for this school year. A little about me....I retired from the Navy after 22 years of service and started my career in education as an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant (ECTA). After a brief hiatus, I transferred to White Oak High School and was the ISS Coordinator for a few years before leaving to accept a position as a Forensic Social Worker and Forensic Interviewer. I returned to White Oak, first as an ECTA and then as an interim Exceptional Children Adaptive Curriculum Teacher. When the chance arose to revive the Health Science program at WO, I eagerly accepted! I received my nursing training in the US Navy, my Master’s degree in Special Education and my Doctoral level Education Specialist degree in Special Education, Curriculum Development from Liberty University. I have been licensed as a nurse (LPN) in North Carolina for over 16 years and I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). I look forward to working with you this year!
