Ms. Hannah Jones

This will be Hannah Jones' fourth year at RHS, and she is excited to keep growing the Dance Program this year! Ms. Jones began dancing at age 3, and she has completed over 20 years of dance training, with 10 of those at Diana's Dance Academy in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, and musical theater styles. During this time, she was an active member of the competition team and was a student assistant for beginning dance classes. As an Onslow County native, she graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2016 before obtaining her B.A. in Dance Education from Meredith College with K-12 teaching licensure. While at Meredith, she choreographed and performed in student and faculty dance concerts, was a Full-Company Member of the Meredith Dance Theatre, and completed her student teaching internship in Dance at Oberlin Magnet Middle School in Raleigh, NC. Additionally, Ms. Jones was able to study abroad in Sansepolcro, Italy in the Spring of 2019, studying the Italian education system, and she published her thesis on the history and future sustainability of k-12 Dance Education in North Carolina as part of the Honors College and Teaching Fellows program. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance with even more of the Richlands community.

The syllabus and teacher introduction video can be found on Ms. Jones' site resource tabs and below this biography. Dancers will also need to access our Teams page and sign-up for alerts through Remind. Current students should have their syllabus form signed and returned ASAP!
