Mr. Devon Holson

My name is Devon Holson.  I have been a Teacher's Assistant here at Onslow County Learning Center for over three years, but this will be my first year as a Teacher.  I was born and raised on the island of Jamaica and I came to the United states after graduating High School there when I was sixteeen years old.  After becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1990 I enlisted in the United States Marines Corps as an Infantryman where I served for 23 years.  After retiring in 2013 I joined the family here at OCLC in 2017 where I worked as a Teacher's Assistant in ISS.  

  I have been married for a little over 30 years to my beautiful wife Marcella, and we have two lovely daughters, Celina and Cecelia.

  I am a football and soccer fan, my teams being the Oakland Raiders and Real Madrid in Spain.  My passions are travelling, exercising, gardening, cooking and  watching football and soccer.  I have been extremely fortunate to have travelled a lot with the Marine Corps and privately with my family, and I hope to bring those experiences to the students that I will be instructing now and in the future.
