Hello :) 

Little bit about me: I grew up in the military with my father in the Army, and I have lived in many different places in the world, including Germany and Japan. I am married to an Active Duty Marine, and we have two cute kids who make me want to be the best person and teacher. Bella will be in middle school this year, and Colton will be with me at CFIE. We have a dog named Orry who is really like a third child, and we added a bunny named Toads. Life keeps me busy for sure. I enjoy swimming, the beach, traveling, camping, working out and spending time together as a family on the couch with TV. We hope to go on more outdoor adventures such as camping and hiking in beautiful North Carolina.

I received my Bachelors degree from Towson University, Maryland in Early Childhood Education. I am licensed from Birth to Kindergarten and Kindergarten to 6th in North Carolina. My hopes are to continue my education and earn a Masters degree in Reading or Special Education. Who knows?!?                                                  

My experience in the classroom began as a long-term sub in Pre-K in the Special Education department at Tarawa Terrace Elementary. I worked in a self-contained classroom with students who received special needs services. I have two years of experience teaching Kindergarten in Okinawa, Japan at Bechtel Elementary School. This will be my 8th year teaching, all in kindergarten except THIS YEAR is my first year in 1st grade. I am so excited to see my firsties grow from day one in kindergarten. It really is magical :) This will be my 6th year at CFIE :) Excited for a new year!!
