Out-of-District and Out-of-County Application Information

Families living in Onslow County follow this link to request an out-of-district assignment

Please be aware that you must register your child in the appropriate school as determined by your address prior to applying for out-of-district consideration.

Any families residing on base will need to complete an out-of-district application. 

The following schools are projected to be at or above capacity for the 2026-2027 school year. New out-of-district transfer requests to these schools cannot be considered:

 Elementary Schools at or above capacity:

  • Blue Creek Elementary School
  • Coastal Elementary School
  • Dixon Elementary School
  • Hunters Creek Elementary School
  • Morton Elementary School
  • Northwoods Elementary School
  • Queens Creek Elementary School
  • Sandridge Elementary School
  • Southwest Elementary School

 Middle Schools at or above capacity:

  • Hunters Creek Middle School
  • Jacksonville Commons Middle School
  • New Bridge Middle School
  • Swansboro Middle School

 High Schools at or above capacity:

  • Dixon High School
  • Richlands High School
