OCS Hosts Holiday Craft Fair

Shoppers look at crafts for sale

The holiday spirit was in the air Thursday, December 1 at the OCS Holiday Craft Fair!

The craft fair, hosted by school-based enterprise students and staff from across the district, featured products like t-shirts, mugs, greeting cards, ornaments, jewelry and more... all hand-crafted by OCS students!

Our school-based enterprise programs allow students to get hands-on experience with the ins and outs of running a business. Students are involved in the process from start to finish, not only making the items they sell, but also working on advertising their products, facilitating transactions, and handling money.

Through participating in sales events like this, students get the opportunity to practice real-world skills while earning money to grow their programs.

Dozens of shoppers stopped by the White Oak High gym on Thursday to browse products, buy gifts, and see our students in action.

Thank you to all who made this wonderful student opportunity a success!
