Stateside Elementary Adopted by Military Unit

The Stateside Patriots have partnered with a unit of real-life patriots!

On Monday, February 12, Stateside Elementary School held a ceremony to mark the official start of their partnership with 2nd Combat Readiness Regiment from Camp Lejeune.

This partnership was made possible through the Adopt-a-School program, which promotes mutually beneficial relationships between the military and schools by allowing military units to “adopt” a school. Units support schools through volunteering at school events, test monitoring, providing mentorship, and more. Schools can show their support for their unit during the holidays and during times of deployment.

As a Purple Star District, a distinction earned through our dedication to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for military families, Onslow County Schools is proud of the invaluable relationships we have with our local military community.

Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful opportunity possible for our students!
