Thompson Early Childhood Center hosted its annual appreciation breakfast for OCS maintenance staff Wednesday, January 22.
Dozens of workers from the district’s maintenance department gathered in TECC’s multipurpose room for food and fellowship, courtesy of the preschool’s staff. The guests of honor were treated to a large buffet of pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, casseroles and more, all prepared personally by the school’s staff.
TECC Family Specialist Traci Yates said the occasion was an opportunity for TECC staff to show how much they appreciate all the OCS maintenance department does to keep them up and running.
“Thompson is one of the oldest schools in Onslow County,” she said. “With their help, we can keep this a healthy environment for our preschool students.”
OCS Assistant Maintenance Director Daniel Gray took the opportunity at this appreciation breakfast to appreciate one of his employees, in particular.
Arbelle Jackson, a custodian at TECC, was presented with a pin to mark her 25 years of service to Onslow County Schools. Ms. Jackson started with OCS in the early 1990s, and has worked at TECC since 1997.
To Ms. Jackson and all of our wonderful maintenance staff, thank you for all the hard work you do every day!
